Kyrgyzstan is a Central nation surrounded by Kazakhstan to the north-west, China to the south-east, and Tajikistan to the south-west. The capital of Kyrgyzstan is Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan has an area of 198,500 square kilometres. Mountain ranges divide the country into the north and south. Russians have been influenced by the northern culture, while Uzbek practices are drawn to the southern culture. Kyrgyzstan is the leading diverse nation with Kyrgyz people adopting ethnic culture. By the 20th century, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan had become a hydroelectric power source, a source of machinery, a source of non-ferrous metals, mercury ores, reserves of coal and petroleum, and deposits of natural gas.
In Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan, officially the Kyrgyz Republic and sometimes referred to as Kyrgyzstan, is a country. Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked and mountainous republic. It borders Kazakhstan far to the north, Uzbekistan far to the west and southwest, Tajikistan far to the southwest, and China far to the east. Bishkek is its capital and largest town. Weather and Geography Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked nation bordering Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan in Central Asia. It is situated between latitudes of 39 ° and 44 ° n , and longitudes of 69 ° and 81 ° E. It is far from the sea, far from any other nation, and all its rivers flow into a system of closed drainage that does not enter the sea. More than 80 percent of the country is occupied by the mountainous area of the Tian Shan, the remainder containing valleys and basins. Issyk-Kul Lake, or Ysyk-Köl in Kyrgyz, is Kyrgyzstan's largest lake in the north-eastern Tian Shan, and after Titicaca, it is also the second-largest mountain lake in the world. In the Kakshaal-Too range, the highest peaks make up the Chinese frontier. Peak JengishChokusu is the highest point at 7,439 m (24,406 ft) and is considered by geologists to be the world's northernmost peak over 7,000 m (22,966 ft). Heavy snowfall ends in spring floods in winter weather, which also cause significant damage downstream. The runoff from the hills is used for hydro-strength as well. With 937,400 inhabitants, Bishkek is the capital and the largest city in the north (as of 2015). The ancient town of Osh, situated in the Fergana Valley near the border with Uzbekistan, is also the second town. The main river is the Kara Darya, which flows into Uzbekistan to the west through the Fergana Valley. It meets the other major Kyrgyz River across the Uzbek frontier, the Naryn. Regionally, the climate varies. In the southwest, the low-lying Fergana valley is subtropical and exceptionally hot in summer, with temperatures exceeding 40 ° c (104 ° f), the temperate northern foothills and, depending on elevation, the Tian Shan varies from dry continental to polar climate. Temperatures are sub-zero in the coldest region for around 40 days in winter, and even some desert areas experience steady snowfall in this season. The temperature ranges from about -6 ° C (21 ° F ) in January to 24 ° C (75 ° F ) in July in the lowlands.
