The official opening of the state university of Kazakh is 15 January 1934, established on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute by decree of the Council of People Commissars of the Soviet Union and the VKPb Kazakh Regional Committee. In the same year on 2nd December, KazSU was named after the popular Soviet party and the leader of the state S.M. Its a Kirov. The first entrance examinations were conducted at the Faculties of Biology, Physics and Mathematics in January 1934; they were held at the Faculty of Chemistry in September. The first Faculty of Humanities – the Faculty of Foreign Languages – was founded in 1937, followed by the Faculty of Philology a year later. The Faculty of Journalism was founded in May 1941 as a consequence of entering the University of the Kazakh Communist Institute of Journalism. After the irrational years of war, new faculties finally opened up. The Faculty of Geography was launched in August 1947 and the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics was formed in 1949. The Faculty of Law was founded as a result of the association with the Alma-Ata Law Institute in 1955. A strong scientific-educational and methodological foundation emerged at the university at the same time. By the early 1990s, there were 98 departments, 43 scientific research laboratories and 9 scientific research departments in the KazSU. The number of faculty staff is around 1180 people; among the faculty staff there were 30 academicians and AS KazSSR correspondents, more than 100 physicians, professors, more than 600 science candidates and lecturers. Human resources have been qualified in 21 specialities and 74 specialisations.

The year of establishment of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was 1934. It is the leading institution of the higher education system and the oldest classical university in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University of Kazakhstan is one of the top medical university in Kazakhstan. Al-Farabi University is also known as KAZNU Kazakhstan. The university is named after a prominent philosopher and professor named Al-Farabi. In 2001 it was recognised as a national university. Eligibility Criteria
The medical aspirants must fit into the following eligibility criteria for doing MBBS course:
